Dilşad Aladağ is a researcher and practitioner working across the fields of art, architecture, ecology, and film. Her practice explores the politics of landscapes and their relationship to knowledge production, focusing on spatial and ecological dynamics and the performance of power and resilience. Employing archival and field visits, speculative narratives and material inquiry, her practice unfolds in forms of moving image, text, event programs, spatial interventions and publication. She has presented works at Kunsthaus Hamburg, DEPO Istanbul, the Jewish Museum of Franconia, DAADgalerie Berlin, SALT,  SAVVY Contemporary and IMALAT-HANE. Her previous projects have received SALT Research Funds and the Prince Claus Seeds Award. Dilşad was invited as a visiting artist at IASPIS Stockholm, PRAKSIS Oslo and IMMA Dwell in Dublin.

After completing her degree in architecture at Istanbul Technical University, she earned an M.Sc. in European Urban Studies from the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar as a DAAD scholar. She is currently a doctoral candidate at the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar, supported by a Heinrich Böll Foundation PhD scholarship. Her doctoral research explores the entangled ecologies of nomadic pastoralism and bodies of water in Çukurova, Turkey, through embodied and participatory research and moving image.
