Collage, Martch Art Gallery, İstanbul  

Inkılap, darbe, and Taklak; revolution, coup, and tumbling figures. The Turkish phrase says one can tumble forty times in pursuit of an ideal or a victory. Does revolution need forty tumbles? The youth tumbling to celebrate the revolution in the stadium reminds me of the Taklaks I picked up from the grounds I leave.


How many times do we have to tumble? Within the scope of the exhibition 'Uyumlanan Beden/Oriented Body' curated by Melis Golar, it can be visited at Martch Art Gallery until May 23rd.
